Our core principles
- Be kind and respectful. Disagreement is allowed; harassment, ridicule, hate speech, and personal attacks are not.
- Share experience, not diagnosis. Say what happened to you, but do not present yourself as another member’s medical professional.
- Protect privacy. Do not repost another member’s words, photographs, or identifying details outside the group without explicit permission. A private group reduces visibility but cannot guarantee confidentiality.
- Ask before direct messaging. Do not use the member list, posts, or comments for unsolicited direct messages, sales outreach, research, or recruitment.
- Be transparent. Clinics, providers, brands, employees, affiliates, and anyone receiving compensation or free products must disclose that relationship.
- No unsolicited promotion. Spam, recruitment, disguised advertising, and repeated self-promotion may be removed.
- Adults only. The community is intended for members aged 18 and over.
Medical safety
Community advice cannot replace your surgeon or another qualified healthcare professional. Urgent symptoms and suspected complications require professional medical attention.
Facebook group rules
Participation in the Facebook community is also governed by the current rules displayed when joining or visiting the group, as well as Meta’s terms and policies. Moderators may remove content or members when reasonably necessary to protect safety, privacy, and community integrity.
